Far more than a simple mixture of salt and dried herbs, Trocomare is made from a recipe developed by renowned Swiss naturopath Alfred Vogel that transfers the flavours of fresh herbs and vegetables – including red pepper and horseradish – to the salt itself. The process takes place at A. Vogel’s facility in rural Colmar, France, where organically grown herbs from the surrounding fields are blended with sea salt just hours after being picked. The ingredients then steep together for up to a full year before being vacuum-dried to make a spicy, versatile seasoning with an intense flavour that shines in salads, sauces, egg-based meals and more.
